Order of the Gem (formerly Musical Gems Rush) ยท Effective October 18, 2026

Overview

Order of the Gem ("the App"), formerly called Musical Gems Rush, is developed by Ostvyke Games ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens with your information when you play the App. The App does not require an account or ask for your email or any other contact details. It does use Google Firebase to understand app usage and diagnose crashes, Unity to collect crash and performance reports, Unity Gaming Services to run an online leaderboard, and Google AdMob to show ads โ€” details on exactly what that involves are below.

Information stored on your device

The App does not connect to any server to send or receive this specific information โ€” it stays directly on your device. This includes:

None of this identifies you personally. Your individual level scores stay on your device; the only score that leaves it is a single combined Total Score sent to the leaderboard (see "Online leaderboard" below). Data stored on your device is removed automatically if you uninstall the App.

Analytics and crash reporting

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to help us understand how the App is used and to diagnose and fix crashes. These services may collect information such as:

This information is collected by Google on our behalf and is not used to identify you personally. You can reset or limit your Advertising ID at any time in your device's settings (Settings โ†’ Google โ†’ Ads on most Android devices).

Our Firebase and AdMob accounts are linked, so Google may also use this analytics data to measure ad performance and report our ad earnings. See "Advertising" below.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows ads provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google. There are two kinds:

To show and measure these ads, Google's ad service may collect information such as:

Google and its advertising partners use this information to show ads, measure how ads perform, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent fraud. Depending on your choices and where you live, the ads you see may be personalized based on this information. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App asks for your consent before ads are requested, and you can change your choice later in the App's settings. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings (Settings โ†’ Google โ†’ Ads on most Android devices). You will still see ads, but they will be less personalized.

Crash and performance reports (Unity)

The App also uses Unity's diagnostics service to receive crash reports, error reports, and performance information, which helps us find and fix problems on different devices. These reports may include:

This information is collected by Unity on our behalf, is used only to diagnose and improve the App, and is not used to identify you personally or to show you ads.

Online leaderboard

The App includes an online leaderboard ("The Crypt of Knights") provided by Unity Gaming Services, a service of Unity Technologies. Using it does not require an account. Instead, the App signs you in anonymously, which creates a random player ID linked to your installation. When you finish a level with a new personal best, the App sends the following to the leaderboard:

Your player name and Total Score are visible to other players on the leaderboard. Please do not use your real name or any other personal information as your player name. Unity may also process technical information, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the service. This data is used only to run and display the leaderboard. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not sell it.

You can change your player name at any time in the App. You can also ask us to delete your leaderboard data at any time โ€” see "Deleting your data" below.

Rating prompt (Google Play)

After you have played for a while, the App may ask Google Play to show its standard rating prompt, which lets you rate or review the App without leaving the game. This prompt is provided and handled entirely by Google Play. We do not receive your rating or review through the App, and the App does not send any extra information about you to show it. Any rating or review you choose to leave is handled under Google's Privacy Policy and may appear publicly on the App's Google Play page.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your leaderboard entry (your player name and score) at any time. Email ostgames@ostvyke.cc with your player name and your Total Score so we can find your entry. We will delete it within 30 days and let you know when it is done. If you keep playing afterwards, a new entry may appear the next time you set a new best score on a level.

Uninstalling the App removes everything stored on your device, but it does not automatically remove your leaderboard entry, so please send us a request if you would like it deleted. Analytics, crash, diagnostic, and advertising data is not linked to your name or email. You can reset or limit your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings.

Children's privacy

The App is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information โ€” such as an email, real name, or exact location โ€” from anyone, including children. The optional leaderboard player name is chosen by the player, and players are asked not to use their real name. The App is not directed at children, and its ads are not intended for children.

Third parties

We use Google Firebase to provide analytics and crash reporting, as described above. Google processes this data on our behalf under Google's own privacy terms. We also use Unity for crash and performance reports, and Unity Gaming Services (Authentication and Leaderboards) to run the leaderboard, as described above. Unity processes this data on our behalf under Unity's privacy policy for game players. The App also uses Google AdMob to show ads, and Google Play's in-app review feature to show the rating prompt, as described above. Google and its advertising partners handle that information under Google's Privacy Policy. Apart from Firebase, Unity, Google AdMob, and Google Play, the App does not share information with any other third party, and we do not sell your information.

International availability

Order of the Gem is available to players worldwide, including in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States (including California). The App does not ask for your name, email, or other contact details. The limited data described above (analytics, diagnostic, and advertising identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions, and, for the leaderboard, an anonymous player ID, player name, and score) may still count as personal data in some regions. If you are in the EU, the UK, or California, you can contact us at any time to ask about, correct, or delete leaderboard data linked to your player name, you can reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device settings, and in the EU and UK you can change your ad consent choice in the App's settings. This applies under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes โ€” for example, because a future update adds a new feature that involves data โ€” the updated version will be posted at this same page, with a new effective date at the top.
